I love that you are a dreamer and an activist and a desktop adventurer. I’m all that but without your techno-savvy. I’m also a writer and creative spirit who loves old media (books, newspapers, magazines) as well as the new stuff. I strive to practice Everyday Generosity. And I’m trying to figure out how to navigate the web and social networks and make it work for me and for good.
I found you on twitter (I’m generositygrows). And hope to find out more from reading your blog, etc.
Joy and peace.
Vickie
Thanks for stopping by and commenting, Vickie. I’m still a fan of old media, too, and I only want to see it thrive in this new environment. Hope you’ll keep reading and I’lll try to find you on Twitter!
Hi Jess,
Tina from Media Needle here. I thought you’d be interested in the unique approach that Hyundai is taking for the Social Media side of their 2011 Elantra campaign.
It features the very first faux Facebook cause, Cure Compact Crampomitosis (bit.ly/curecrampomitosis), which is presented as a tongue-in-cheek fight against the lack of leg room in compact cars, but it actually benefits a real non-profit, Americans for the Arts. When you join the cause on FB, Hyundai will donate $0.50 to Americans for the Arts. http://apps.facebook.com/causes/570191
We’d love for you and your readers to check the site out; please let me know if I can provide you with any information/assets!
Best,
Tina
Hey Jess – STOP SENDING ME SPAM. You are an idiot if you think you won’t be prosecuted for it. I don’t understand what your problem is, but if you don’t stop harassing me you will be very, very sorry.
Where do I meet you?
